Carrie Mott

Mrs. Mott is originally from Arvada, Colorado. She graduated from Pomona High School in 1989 and went on to receive her BS from Metropolitan State University in Marketing. After working in nonprofits and the corporate world, she decided to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher.  In 2001, she joined the Jefferson Academy staff as a full-time substitute teacher. After 10 years in that role she became a member of the 6th grade team where she stayed for 13 years. During her time as a 6th grade teacher she returned to school and earned her masters degree in Educational Leadership. This master's degree led her to be able to further her career as the principal of JA Coal Creek Canyon in 2024. Carrie is also a proud wife, mother of four, and has two beautiful grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as Mimi.

Message from the Principal:

Greetings to all our JA CCC families and staff, I am Carrie Mott, and I am overjoyed to be joining you as the new principal of this high-performing school. Being a part of this community is an honor, and I am enthusiastic about the journey that lies ahead of us.

In my commitment to fostering a transparent and inclusive environment, I plan to be available a few days each week on the CCC campus for the remainder of this current school year and I will continue to keep you updated on the exciting plans for the upcoming school year. Please stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks, as we are actively working on finalizing details of our Pre-K program, Before & After School care, our Homeschool Enrichment Program, and much more.

Getting to know each and every one of you is something I look forward to with great anticipation. I believe that strong connections among students, families, and staff are the foundation of a thriving school community. I am thrilled to share that the majority of our talented staff have committed to joining us for the next school year. Their dedication, combined with the passion and energy of our students and families, assures me that we have a fantastic team ready to kick off this new chapter for JA CCC.

I can't wait to start this journey with you as we come together to “help students attain their highest academic and character potential.”

Should you have any questions along the way, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at cmott@jajags.com.

Warmest regards,

Carrie Mott, Principal
